Project Mammoth

PROJECT MAMMOTH is a user-focused, interactive exhibit aims to inform visitors about the value of international conservation initiatives and threatened marine species. It blends holographic technology with user-controlled motion controls to offer a distinctive look at the possibilities of installations as narrative and instructional tools.

Our team aims to educate people about the severity of this situation with a groundbreaking installation that uses magnificent holographic images and compelling narration to catch the attention of our viewers.

Concept Inspiration

Our hologram project takes a unique and innovative approach so that viewers are already engaged and interested in our project by just its medium

It is an installation featuring the usage of holograms and physical materials to create a memorable viewer experience

Project Management

Within our group of twelve, I took on the role of a member of the sound team as well as the modeling team.

Alongside the project's team members, in the sound team, I researched online resources and made all the original sounds by myself.

In the modeling team, I created the models for one of the seven marine animals we chose to showcase. The model was designed in Blender, each animal followed a low-poly visual style of modeling and was rendered as part of an environment model that reflected their habitat.

3D Assets SHOWCASE

Designed in Blender, each animal followed a low-poly visual style of modelling and was rendered as part of an environment model that reflected their habitat.

Animation

The modelling team tested out several animation formats, such as contrived movement and expansive vistas. We ultimately decided to design habitats in the form of domes that could be copied to suit the requirements of the holographic video and provide the appearance of an item hovering within the plexiglass prism. These scenes were my creation, and I was in charge of producing them, animating camera motions, and connecting HDRI shader nodes for precise lighting and shadows.
